This action cannot be undone

Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, content and all in-app data. Once the process is complete, you cannot regain access or restore your data.

Method 1 — In-App Deletion (Recommended)

The fastest and most secure way to delete your account is inside the Mahal mobile app. Your identity is verified via an OTP code sent to your phone, and your account is deleted instantly.

In-app steps

Instant

Open the Mahal app and sign in to your account.
Go to the Profile tab in the bottom-right.
Tap the Settings icon at the top.
From the Account menu, tap Delete Account.
Tap Send Code and enter the 6-digit OTP sent to your phone.
Tap Permanently Delete Account to confirm.

Once complete, your session ends automatically and you are returned to the sign-in screen.

Method 2 — Request via Email

If you cannot access the app (for example, you changed phones, uninstalled the app, or cannot sign in), you can send a deletion request directly to our team.

Within 30 days

Tap the button below to open a pre-filled email. After we verify your identity, your request will be completed within 30 days, and you will receive a confirmation email.

Please include the following in your email:

The phone number registered to your account (in international format, e.g. +90 5XX XXX XX XX)
The username on your account (if known)
A short note clearly stating that you want your account deleted

For your security, we will only process your request after verifying your identity — typically by sending a verification code to the phone number registered on your account or via an alternative identity check. Requests that cannot be verified may be rejected.

What Gets Deleted vs. Retained

Once your deletion request is approved, your data is handled as shown below. Some data must be retained — anonymized or for the duration required by law — to comply with our legal obligations.

Records under legal retention obligations (e.g. invoices, payment records, abuse/security logs)	Retained for legal period	Retained for the duration required by applicable law (Turkish KVKK, Law No. 6563 on E-Commerce, Tax Procedure Law, etc. — generally up to 10 years). Deleted or anonymized once that period ends.
Aggregated / anonymous analytics	Kept anonymized	Statistical data that cannot be tied to your identity may be retained for service improvement.

Timeline

In-app deletion: After OTP verification, your account is deactivated immediately and your data is removed from all of our systems within 30 days at most.
Email request: Once identity verification is complete, your request is processed within 30 days.
Records held in our backup systems are removed once the backup rotation cycle ends (no later than 90 days).
You will receive a confirmation email once the deletion is complete.
